Reaching +2°C to +8°C is not what sets a medicine cold room apart, since a food cold room can do the same. The difference lies in what surrounds the temperature. A medicine room needs a second refrigeration unit ready to take over, a way to keep cold air from blowing directly onto vials, humidity and lighting suited to the product, and logged temperature data that an inspector can read. The temperature must also match from corner to corner, loaded or empty.
Small modular rooms suit hospital pharmacies, immunisation centres and blood banks. Larger custom rooms with pallet racking suit distributors and third-party logistics warehouses.
